Chapter 11. A Vow to Protect

I walked into the house and Ria, one of the pack members greeted me and took notice of my bleeding lips.

"You have a cut on your lip, alpha," she said.

I touched my lips and stared down at the stain of blood on my fingertip. "It's nothing," I assured her.

Robin walked down the stairs. "I didn't see you at the parade anymore, so I brought the pack back home," he said as he approached me. "Now that you're here, I have a.." he paused when he noticed my swollen lips. "What happened to you?" He asked.

I walked towards the sofa and sat down. I signaled to Ria to leave and she did. "I got into a fight at the parade but it's nothing serious to worry yourself about," 

"Who will dare lay their filthy hands on the blood moon alpha?" He asked and from the tone of his voice, he was angry and ready to fight for my sake.
