Chapter 54. Planning a Date
I stirred in my sleep having a feeling that the warmth beside me was gone. I opened my eyes sheepishly and truly Skye was no longer beside me. I yawned and stretched lazily as I got out of bed and went into the bathroom. I stared at my reflection in the mirror as I splashed water on my face. I was looking different. I was not looking like a teenager but a full grown woman. Skye had spoiled me and did I have regrets? I had no idea.
Did I fail my mother by not avenging her death? I wondered. Maybe I did. Instead of getting justice for her, I was busy sleeping with the enemy's son. I closed my eyes, none of these was my fault. I still wanted to go ahead with my initial plans without any disruption, but...I sighed.
I walked down the stairs in a black jeans and a turtleneck cashmere after washing up. I walked into the kitchen and picked up the tea jug and poured myself a cup. It was still heavy which meant that Skye didn't take his usual morning tea. Where was he?
