Chapter 57. Captured

Ava’s POV

"I'm off to see David." I lied to him after we were done with breakfast. I knew he was not going to let me go see my uncle without a blood moon's protection, but I didn't want to risk keeping my life in the hands of a blood moon. 

He nodded. "I'll be in the study room if you need me." He said and kissed my forehead. I closed my eyes in a nod and watched him walk away. I walked out of the house. I was thankful he couldn't hear my innermost thoughts. I found a way of sealing them from him. This was another secret I was hiding from him. 

First, I didn't tell him I got powers after our marriage and now, I found a way of sealing my thoughts from him. Maybe he found a way of doing it too cause I couldn't hear his thoughts too. Maybe, it only happens when we communicate with each other telepathically.
