Claire’s POV

“I cannot tell you it’s fine with me now because it will never be, but I appreciate you trying to say sorry to me in person. To be honest, I didn’t want to see you earlier but seeing you right now in remorse, I think it’s good that I let you say sorry to me so we could put an end to this,” I said.

“I’m not expecting that at all from you, Claire. I just tried my luck today knowing that you’re here, I’m really happy. Now I know why Luke loves you, he found a gem,” she said, wiping the tears in his eyes.

“Thank you for letting me say sorry to you,” she said, and she smiled weakly at me before she left.

I couldn’t help but feel emotionally as well. Seeing her bring the physical and emotional pain I felt. I may not have forgiven her fully yet, I know I’ll get there soon. I’m glad I gave her a chance to say sorry, at least she regrets what she did.

After what happened, Mom and Dad hugged me. “Your parents raised you well, Claire. I know it
