Claire’s POV

“What are you doing here?” I asked him.

“Can you let me in?” Jasper asked; he looked so drunk.

“No!” I said, clearly getting mad at him.

“Please, Claire,” he said, as he almost stumbled. Too drunk to even stand up straight.

“Go home,” I said and closed the door, but he kept knocking. I made sure every door and window in my house was closed in case of forced entry. I went to my room and closed the door. I tried to sleep, but I couldn’t. I felt scared of Jasper, what is he thinking?

In the morning when I opened my front door to leave the house so I could go to my family, Jasper suddenly showed up again.

“Leave me alone, or I’ll call the police,” I said.

“Why Claire? Do you really want to get married with Luke? I can treat you better now; come back to me,” he said sadly.
