Luke’s POV

I saw her tears falling down her cheeks. I wonder what happened but I let her sleep for a while. I put the cans of beer in the trash, I was so curious about what happened that I looked at her from time to time to check on her.

She looks sad, and hurt. Maybe something happened in her family again, I sighed. I feel bad for Claire, I know she has been hurting all along and seeing her in this state made me feel that I really needed to help her get back the company that was supposed to be theirs.

It has been 2 hours since she fell asleep, I don’t know if she had eaten anything before she drank that much so I decided to wake her up, so she could eat something. I already brought this meal when I arrived so I heated it up before I woke her.

“You need to eat,” I said and she nodded.

“I’m sorry, you saw me wasted,” she said. “I’m really hungry, I haven’t eaten anything yet even before drinking that much alcohol,” she said.
