Luke’s POV

Arlo visited me tonight at my house. The house feels so empty without Claire, I sighed thinking about her again.

“You’re feeling a lot better?’ Arlo asked me.

“Not really, but I was hopeful about Caleb telling me where Claire is after a week,” I said.

“After a week? Why can’t he tell you now?” he asked.

“Maybe he wants to give Claire some space alone before seeing you again, at least in that time when you meet each other again she’s calmed down and who knows maybe she’ll talk to you,” Arlo said, and I think he has a point.

“Wanna grab some drink?” he asked me.

“Alcohol? No thanks, I’ll be fine with this soda,” I said.

“Traumatize?” he chuckled.

“I am. I lost Claire because of a damn alcohol,” I shook my head. “You know what? I realized that we can have fun without alcohol,” I said.
