Luke’s POV

THE NEXT DAY

Claire and I walked out of the room to have some breakfast with my parents but someone caught my attention. What is she doing here again? I looked at Claire. “It’s fine,” she said.

I went to my mom to ask what that woman is doing here again, “I didn’t want to be rude. She’s here already and we’re having breakfast already so I asked her to join us,” Mom said but her eyes said she’s sorry.

I saw Ruth and Claire smiled at each other, but I didn’t even glance at Ruth.

“Let’s eat breakfast already,” Mom said on the table.

Claire was trying to get me food but Ruth preceded her. “I remember you liked this,” she smiled at me. I saw how Claire just put the food that was supposed to be mine on her plate.

What Ruth did was unacceptable for me especially my wife is beside me and she’s acting like that.
