Claire’s POV

Although I’m at the right age already, you cannot take the nervousness I’d feel if I really confirm from my doctor if I’m really pregnant.

I waited anxiously until the nurse called my name. As I walked inside the clinic, I saw the ultrasound machine. The doctor let me lay down on the bed, she put a gel on my belly and started doing the ultrasound. I was staring nervously at the monitor, looking if there was a baby inside my belly. Until my doctor spoke, “There it is,” I looked at her reaction. She was smiling.

“Am I pregnant, doc?” I asked her nervously.

“Yes, look at the baby at the monitor,” she said as if she was so delighted. I gulped when I finally saw the baby. I wanted to cry in mixed emotions but there were no tears coming into my eyes.

“You’re three months pregnant already,” the doctor announced to me, and I smiled at her.

“It can be very overwhelming but it will be okay,” the doctor told me before she left the room. I
