Sienna's POV

6 Days to The Ancient Rites.

That was it—I couldn’t just sit there anymore. My heart was pounding, my head hurting from the yelling.

“Enough!” I breathed out, my voice cracking. I stood and looked at both of them. “Please. Just stop.”

They both turned to me, Rain looked flushed, almost panicked, while Valerie’s eyes glowed with unshed tears. I hated seeing them like this, both of them people I cared about, fighting over me.

“I appreciate both of you. Really,” I said softly, trying to smile though my lips trembled. “But this arguing won’t help anything. It’s just making things worse.”

Valerie looked at me as she reached for my hand. “Sienna, you don’t have to do this. Please, listen to me. You can say no. You still have a choice.”
