Chapter 171
Sienna’s POV
Witherfang Forest.
The light of the Hall of Regrets fades behind me as I step into the quiet clearing, my legs are already weak and my heart heavy but strangely… lighter too.
I made it through.
The Hall had shown me everything I have ever buried, my mistakes, my shame, the moments I wished I could rewrite. It forced me to relive them all. And somehow, after what felt like an eternity of drowning in guilt, I found a way to breathe again. I could see my reflection across the pool of water nearby, eyes shadowed but steady. I barely recognize the girl staring back. She looks… older. Not in years, but in the kind of way that pain reshapes you. I sink to my knees beside the water, cupping a bit in my palm. “It’s over,” I whisper, though I don’t quite believe it. The trials never truly end.
