Chapter 200
Author’s POV
The air was heavy with mist, and a faint chill swept across the Darkmoon ground as the pack began to gather near the stone platform where justice will be served. No one spoke loudly. Everybody watched silently and spoke in hush tones.
From the dungeon below, the clanking of chains echoed against the stone walls as two guards led Rain up the steps, her wrists were bound, her face pale but emotionless. She looked smaller than she once had, she looked like she had just been stripped of her pride and her dangerous confidence she used to wear like armor. Yet even now, there was a strange aura in the way she carried herself, as if she refused to give the world the satisfaction of seeing her break.
