Damian’s POV
Night had settled quietly over the pack lands. Most of the warriors were finally resting after the chaos of the past days.
I shouldn’t have been walking outside by this time, at least that was what the healers said.
“Another stress and those stitches will open again,” one of them warned earlier.
I told them I would rest. I lied. Because honestly, sleeping has become… so difficult.
The guard walking beside me glanced over for the third time since we left the main hall.
“You should be in bed, Beta,” he said carefully.
His name was Tomas. He is one of the most loyal warriors we have in darkmoon.
I huffed quietly.
“Relax,” I muttered. “I’m not dying tonight.”
“That’s not what the healer said.”
“The healer says a lot of things.”
