The first impact from the demons came like thunder.

One moment, it looked like they were still far away. The next minute… they broke in thousands. They crashed into the pack’s defenses like a living wave, dark bodies slamming against the wolves shields, the demon's claws tearing the demons immediately and using their teeth to snap people out of the way.

Roars and screams of thousands of wolves and demons collided at once.

This was a war indeed, it was nothing compared to the first visit from the demons. This was worse because they came in more multitudes, whether they survive or not, the wolves were willing to fight till their last breath.
