I don’t realize I’m screaming until my throat starts to burn.

“Sienna!”

“Kieran!”

My legs are already moving before my mind catches up. The battlefield blurs as I run, my boots slipping over the cracked earth and blood-soaked ground, my heart pounding so hard it feels like it might rip out of my chest.

Please… Please moongodess let them be okay.

Lucas is right behind me, telling me to be careful but how can I be? When something is obviously wrong with the alpha and the luna. Even though I know he is hiding something away from me, the way he avoided my eyes when I asked him how Sienna and Kieran were able to take down the demon king but he isn't even saying anything about it and that alone terrifies me.
