Chapter 58
Rain's POV
I was pacing round the room, anxiously.
My legs were hitting the wooden floor of my bedroom, echoing louder than I wanted. I could hear the sound of my rasped breathing, feel the sweat gathering at the back of my neck even though the air around me was cold. The curtains fluttered softly against the open window, but I barely noticed. My mind was a tornado.
Where was he? The damn guy should’ve been back by now. I sent him hours ago to confirm what I already knew in my bones ,Sienna was dead. She had to be. No one survives being tossed in the path of a demon army, especially not soft, naive Sienna. She walked right into it, like a lamb. The bait I dangled worked perfectly. At least, it should have.
Unless something went wrong.
The thought made my stomach clench.
