Harper’s POV
9 Days Before the Execution.
I stared at the ceiling, my jaw clenched so hard it ached. The morning sunlight tried to sneak through the curtains and it was so beautiful but I wasn’t in the mood to appreciate anything that beautiful. Not today.
I turned over with a huff, my arms crossed tightly against my chest.
I was still furious.
It had been almost twenty-four hours, and I haven’t gotten a single apology from Damian. My own brother. The same brother who had once threatened to rip out a warrior’s spine for tugging at my ponytail during training. Now? He stood there, like some infallible Alpha prince, and let her—that snake Rain—lay a hand on me. And worse? He defended her.
