6 Days to The Ancient Rites.

“You have less than five days to prepare,” I said gently. “And I know Kieran will do everything he can to help you. But if you want to be ready… I want to train you too.”

She turned to me looking , surprised. “You would?”

“Of course. We’ve got limited time, and I’ve seen you fight. You’ve got fire. But the rites… they’re not just about strength. They test your fears. Your regrets. They’ll break you down.”

I paused.

Wow, is she being serious right now?

“I’ve seen warriors twice your size fall apart during them.”

“I’m not afraid,” she whispered.

I smiled faintly. “You should be. But that’s what will keep you alive.”
