Chapter 55. Finding Willow

As morning approached, Kyler and Jemima snuck into Willow’s house. The inside was dimly lit, which made Kyler suspicious. Quickly, Kyler went upstairs, but it was empty. He checked Zoey and Willow’s rooms, but they needed to be occupied.

Kyler searched for his clothes, and when he was dressed, he went downstairs. Jemima was in the kitchen, drinking a glass of juice and looking refreshed.

“Sorry, I had a bit of a sip myself,” Jemima said.

“That’s OK. If you want to eat, go ahead.”

“You don’t want to eat? Or drink?” Kyler shook his head. He was really puzzled about Willow’s whereabouts. Perhaps she was forced to stay at the Goodwinson residence. This frustrated Kyler for a moment.

He had promised not to set foot in Veronica’s territory again, let alone visit her house. Kyler didn’t want Veronica to act aggressively, especially if it meant harming Willow.

Besides, revealing who he was before he met Willow was a concern.

“I’m going to meet someo
