“You’re like an angel.”
The bridal stylist beamed with satisfaction as she finished Willow’s stunning look; her hair was elegantly pinned up, showing off her graceful neck and bare shoulders. Willow’s makeup was so natural that it didn’t look heavy.
“That sounds a little too much,” Willow replied with a small smile.
“No, you have a face that makes our job easy.”
Willow smiled again, though she was sure the stylist had worked hard to hide the dark circles and bags under her eyes. She hadn’t slept well the past few days, often crying through the night. It felt like a forced marriage, but Willow had agreed to it.
It was nine in the morning. In an hour, Willow would be Mrs. Maximillian Calamus. Even though Veronica insisted on using the name Goodwinson.
Willow didn’t want to make a fuss about it; she was thinking of taking the Messer name in the future.
How silly of her to have such thoughts, Willow thought sadly.
