As they walked out of the room, Maxwell had already taken their parents to prepare for dinner.

I felt my mark burning. This was the worst time in my days. I didn’t like the scorching and persistent pain I felt; that’s why I was going to find that stranger and put an end to all of this.

Laura was going to be compatible with me. She looked like someone without problems and wouldn’t put up a fight, wouldn’t make me have an undue headache.

A few moments later, Liam returned. “The girls are settled and secure.”

I had to ask for his opinion on Laura. “How is she? Do you like her? Do you think she will be good for me?”

He didn’t turn to look at me as he replied. “She’s okay; she will be easy to tame and control, but I think that you should consider taking the omega to be your mistress,” he said.

A little unlike Liam. I looked at him; he couldn’t just drop an assertion on something and not explain and convince me to see the matter his way.
