The cracks destroyed the ground, and the remaining concrete crumbled to pieces. The dust cloud spread throughout the small house, and we waited with swords drawn and shields up for what was inside to ward off a possible imminent attack.
The human hands that protruded revealed that it wasn’t a monster, as many of the others must have feared. They began to climb, carrying the tools of their trade on their backs.
