I had a bad feeling about this girl, and usually, I wasn’t wrong when I had a hunch. I was hoping to scare her; her eyes gave away that she was hiding something, and that wasn’t good. With that look, like she was a thief or worse, she couldn’t be in the castle. She roamed the corridors as if trying to make herself invisible, and there had to be a clear reason for that.
“Where are you going?” asked a voice at my back; of course, she was, no one else would follow me to the weapons depot.
“That’s a dangerous place,” I said and smiled at her; she looked even more beautiful in the clothes she had put on. It was a strange dress, as if she had sewn it herself, and it looked as if she had cut it with her teeth.
“Do you think I cut myself with a sword?” he asked, rolling his eyes, because every time he did, he wanted to pounce on her.
“Not dangerous for you, but for me,” I winked at him and set aside more arrows for my reconnaissance tomorrow.
