“We could split up to place the explosives. I mean… We have a few hours, it occurs to me that…” Sallie began to say, who now had a glimmer of lucidity when it came to strategy.
I smiled to see that she was progressing, in her own way. This trip had been very positive for her learning. A journey that helped her to control herself. She was increasing her own resilience, by being able to differentiate that this was a matter of vital importance. I hugged her when she said that, waiting for her response. We were good friends.
“I have an idea, is what I mean,” Sallie said, adjusting her hair. “We should place the lighter explosions where we see cart wheels, a few minutes before they are about to pass. Someone should be waiting ahead and whistle for us to hear.”
