The tavern was a few minutes from where the woman screamed. It was not the tavern I would have imagined. But it was the one these apes practically dragged me to. They were acting very strangely. It was making me impatient that they only answered my questions evasively.
“What do you mean by the plague?” I asked, annoyed, slamming my glass on the table with fury.
The bartender was dirty, his appearance was deplorable. However, I drank the beer willingly to calm down my temper a bit. The man looked at me with fear when he heard my words.
I had asked my men, not him, but since he watched me, I considered it appropriate to keep asking.
