Trusting Chris would always be the hardest thing I would ever have to do. I couldn’t blindly trust him because he was never mature enough to face things the right way.
Now, I was leaving everything in his hands.
And every minute the uncertainty and fear told me that he was going to fail.
I walked towards my body, which was being carried by the guards. They were taking me to then hand me over to Zack. Plettekman must have wanted to extract my magic somehow.
Entering my own body was not remotely easy. The feeling was like I was burning all the time. My skin seemed not to want me back.
Looking at the guards made me feel even worse. Because if I observed them, I could see that there were many more of them than me and they would tear me to pieces if I tried to fight them.
I had to make a remarkable effort to return to my body and endure the unbearable burning sensation.
