The hardest blow was to my head. The impact of my body against the ground was deafening. The people in the place let out a cry of fear and dread.
I heard the sound of the carts stopping and some, crashing.
I had appeared in the middle of the street.
I rubbed my head in pain. The merchants were shouting, the people in general, began to make a fuss.
I looked around, immediately recognizing the place where I was. It was the outskirts of the city, where the trade routes for merchants and farmers began. The place looked much worse than when we left.
And the people, more deteriorated. Who knows what was happening here. I heard the word plague more times than I would like. People were walking around in fear everywhere as if everything they had to do was dangerous. It was a grimmer atmosphere than the one we left. The fanatics were not seen around here, this was a road more than anything for workers. It had always been that way.
