Chapter 50. Mayhem

Lucas squealed. He could barely move. It was as if darkness has rolled its veil on him. There’s nothing he could see. He’s just trapped inside the collapsed building. No sirens. The only thing he could hear was Bonnie’s fading heartbeat.

“Bonnie!” he called out desperately.

There was no response from Bonnie. It would have been better if he could get to her but there was a huge collapsed wall that separates them.

Lucas gasped. He has not been in a situation like this in his entire life. Never has a building collapsed on him. Everything happened so fast.

He gasped once more and emits a sudden forceful hacking sound to release air and clear irritation in his throat.

“Bonnie!” he cried out even more loudly than before.
