Ella assumed that Damian would overlook her attempt to watch the male dancers at the bar, but she was wrong. She returned to Victorias City the next morning, and nothing happened with the job interview. She was angry at Damian's behavior, treating her like a clueless child.

"I won't forgive you for what you did to me," Ella said, slamming the door in Damian's face.

It would be a long time before she talked to him again. Damian knocked on the door, but she didn't open it and sulked inside her room.

Instead of wooing her, Damian chose to focus on work, but Ella remained under close surveillance. She needed Damian's approval to go anywhere, and she couldn't leave the house without Rebecca accompanying her.
