Chapter 14

Lavinia was still not at her desk when Ella finally managed to leave. She needed to pass by the washroom first to fix and compose herself. But wait, there was a restroom inside Damian's office. She did an about-face and returned to Damian's office. She knocked before entering, and she noticed Damian's surprise when he saw her again.

"Sorry, but I need to use the restroom, please?" she asked for permission.

"There's a powder room outside; you can use that instead," Damian declined, not allowing the woman to enter his private space again.

"You're so difficult," she pretended to be upset and turned away.

She slowly walked towards the door until Damian called her name and agreed to let her use his restroom. Ella smiled.

Inside, she checked herself in the mirror. Her lips were swollen, and it was evident that she had been kissing someone. She remembered feeling pain in her abdomen earlier; maybe she was about to get her period.
