Chapter 99
Cassandra’s POV
We fell out on the other side of the portal, we were shaken literally. It was a ride I wouldn’t want to have to go through again, my head was spinning. Looking at Raegan, I knew he was as dizzy as I was.
“You know, we could have tried a better means of coming here,” I complained.
“Well, beggars can’t be choosers. We didn’t have a choice,” Raegan dusted himself as he stood up. He stretched out his hand to help me up, I gladly took it.
“Arthur is a warlock after all, he should have proofed something more convenient up, ” I went on.
“I’m not sure it’s within his power to. He has helped us get this far, we should be grateful, ” he wasn’t even in the least way interested in answering or talking to me. He was weird but I felt safe with him around, I imagined going alone on this mission, I don’t even know if I’d have been able to make it through Riverdale city.
