Daniel’s POV

I stopped when I reached the gate to see that the white wolf’s stance was rigid.

“Anything the problem?” I asked as I rushed over to where he stood.

“There’s a spy nearby.”

I groaned, “again?”

He looked around and I followed his eyes. I noticed that the Virgule we had killed wasn’t in the spot again. There was a trail that went into the forest and it made it look like it was dragged.

Interesting.

“Should we pursue this one or wait till they get tired and threatened and leave?”

He shook his head, “it won’t leave, it’s been here since. I’ve been feeling his presence since you left.” He paused, “let’s show him how feral we are.” He finished and immediately transformed and ran into the bush.

“Okay. This one must have really gotten on his nerves.” I thought as I ran after him in my human form.
