Rob didn't know if he was more shocked by the information, or by her naturalness in confessing. He should have imagined it before.
"Some things make sense now," he said, referring to the many times Debby said she was very weird or crazy. "I just don't understand how I've never noticed this before.
"We are very good at pretending that we have some sanity," said Samara, still giggling. "If it weren't for Debby, I would have rotted in that place. She saved me and I owe her everything. Even part of what's left of my sane mind.
Rob really realized that there was devotion in Samara's word
