With Pedro's new Civic hatchback officially in their possession, the entire group was buzzing with excitement. Diego could barely contain himself as he slid behind the wheel.

"This is so awesome!" he gushed, running his hands reverently over the steering wheel. "I can't believe you actually let me drive it first."

Pedro shrugged from the passenger seat. "Hey, you helped make this happen. You've earned it, little bro."

Diego froze, realization dawning across his face. "Wait. Does...does this mean I get to drive your car sometimes?"

"Within reason," Pedro clarified quickly, cutting off Diego's burgeoning glee. "I'm not just handing over the keys willy-nilly. But yeah, I'll let you drive now and then."

"Yes!" Diego fist-pumped victoriously before straightening up and gripping the wheel seriously. "Okay, okay. I'll be super careful, I promise."
