The moment she went downstairs, Weston, who was lounging on the sofa lazily, sat erect and stared at her. His lips twitched upwards into a radiant smile as he remembered everything that she had written for him. He had learned the words by heart by now and didn’t need to read them anymore. His heart started pounding as he stared piercingly at her. Isabella found his behavior strange, but she just briefly glanced at him and walked into the kitchen where their mom was.
“Good morning, mom,” she said, kissing her cheek.
“Blue suits you so much, sweetie,” said her mom, appreciating her clothes. Isabella smiled at her, not admitting that it was Weston’s choice.
