Chapter 21. Guilty
Weston fumed at what Fiona told him. In his fury, he picked up a chair and smashed it to the ground. Their parents had gone for a walk and Fritz had found a group of girls camping a little distance away and went to strike up a conversation with them. Francesca was resting in her tent and hurriedly came out, hearing the noise. A scared Fiona escaped to where Fritz was.
“What’s wrong, bro?” Francesca asked him gently.
“Nothing, Fran,” he muttered.
“You just don’t break things for nothing, Wes. What’s going on? What happened to Gordon and Isabella? Did you guys fight?” asked Francesca. Weston’s eyes flashed with anger.
“They’re having an affair,” he gritted out.
Francesca considered his words for a moment. “Did they tell you they were? How do you know?” she asked him calmly.
“I saw them together,” he gritted out.
“Doing what?” asked Francesca.
“Hugging?” said Weston. He didn’t see them doing anything else, actually.
