Chapter 57. The Kersh’s Camp

Alec bid Dracula farewell and headed to the fire pit to see Obsidian.

He came upon her, stoking the flames of the fire. Her backside was facing him, and he watched every curve move back and forth in perfect motion. Her sable hair was glistening near the light of the fire, dancing in union with her hips. His thoughts quickly raced to her hips, singing in concert with his own. 

Stop it, Alec! She’s a lady!

He shook the improper thoughts from his head the minute her eyes met his.

“I’m glad you are here. What would you like to start with today? Perhaps something easy, like a deflection spell?” 

“Obsidian, I am afraid that Dracula made me out to be something I’m not. I’ve only been studying magic for maybe six months.”

“That’s why I suggested we start with something easy. I know you are new to all of this and have only recently come into your powers.”

“Yes, and I am a fledgling on top of being a novice in the Dark Arts.”
