I sighed frustratedly as she said that. Del can come in handy sometimes.

"I saw how you reacted when you heard they were getting married. I thought you didn't like her. What's this sudden change?"

"I'm not worried about marriage. It's about the territory. If they get married, Jeff is going to secure his position but I want it. I really do". I said convincingly.

"But I thought we promised the elders not to interfere. We have our territory. Let them go". I stood up and went close to her.

"I just wanted it. I thought you wanted me to take over the territory so bad. But if you insist no, then no problem".

"I saw you bought her snacks for her. Is that part of taking over territories too?" Shit…. She is smarter than I thought.

"I wanted her to rekindle the love she has for me so she can call it off with Jeff. It's all pretense. I love only you, Nelly".
