"Mr. Xander, I'm sorry but I cannot give you any information over the phone, it's imperative that you come to the hospital as soon as possible. Adriana's condition has taken a turn for the worse and we are doing everything we can to help her. I understand that this is a difficult time for you and your family, but I assure you that our team is doing everything we can to help her. Please come to the hospital as soon as you can. Time is of the essence."

I felt a sense of dread wash over me as I hung up the phone. Whatever was happening with Adriana, it was bad, terrible even and I had to be there for her.

Daciana turned to me, her solemn eyes filled to the brim with unshed tears, "What's happening? Is Adriana okay?" She asked, her voice shaking.

"I don't know, the doctor wouldn't say anything over the phone. We have to go to the hospital now," I lied, my speech ridden with stutters.

She nod
