Chapter 16

I’d never heard his voice before and although it was drenched in dominance and danger, it was strangely comforting. It shouldn’t have been and I should have been petrified. I mean, I was shackled to an unknown Alpha’s bed and completely at the beast’s mercy, for Christ’s sake But my body was inexplicably drawn to him, nonetheless. I couldn’t believe that my head and my body were in a deadlocked fight against each other. I had no idea what my body was doing. I had no control over it. He was controlling me somehow. There was no way the pleasurable thoughts I had about him choking me were real. They couldn’t be. I thought about how they could have dr***ed me while I was knocked out. Or how I remembered them talking about witches earlier. Maybe it had something to do with that? Either way, I needed to pull myself together.
