Chapter 22

After feasting on the bucks, the pack’s bellies were full and one by one they all stumbled off and found a cool bit of shade to pass out in. Jesse and I strolled off towards our favorite tree. An enormous oak tree with plenty of coverage from the afternoon sun. We shifted and Jesse sat down, resting his back against the tree’s giant trunk. I shifted and settled down on the grass, making sure to snuggle up with my husband. I’d come a long way since finding out about werewolves, seeing them naked around the town and pack house had me blushing at first and the idea of ever being naked myself around everyone was a no go. Now, I was used to it and didn’t think twice about shifting and letting it all hang out. No one batted an eyelid and to be honest, it felt quite exhilarating.
