“Luckily, we discovered this illness sooner,” Alfred said. “So we could anticipate and treat it immediately.”
“He’s always seemed fine,” Leora muttered. “He’s never had a headache.”
“It’s not that he never has headaches, Mom,” Evran said gloomily. “It’s because Daddy never tells us how he’s feeling because he doesn’t want to worry us.”
“Come on, don’t worry about it,” Terence said softly. “The important thing now is that we’ll be able to handle this matter together. Alfred will brief us on what we need to do to help Daddy with his treatment and care.”
“That’s true, and one more thing I think is quite important: try to avoid being dramatic. Let’s face everything with a strong attitude so Daddy doesn’t feel like he’s burdening us with his illness. You know he doesn’t like to be pitied, right?” Alfred said firmly.
