Chapter 47. Best Laboratory

“Oh, Peter, what should we do? This is so ridiculous. How could all this bad luck happen to us at once?” 

I rubbed my temples, trying to ease the pain in my head. My mother’s complaints weren’t making it any better and were making it worse. 

“Mom, could you sit down and stop talking for a while? You’re making my head explode,” I muttered. 

My mother took a deep breath, but fortunately she didn’t argue with me and sat down next to me, although her face looked sullen. 

“I think if Lizzy doesn’t wake up in five days, we should tell her parents,” I said, swallowing hard. 

I couldn’t imagine what Lizzy’s parents would say if I told them about Lizzy’s condition. I hadn’t seen them in a long time and didn’t remember much about them, but I did remember that her father was a stiff man
