Luc didn't seem to hear Giovanna. He was concentrating as she spoke, his gaze vacant, and when she finished, he turned his hurt gaze on her.
"So... He's the one you love! If all the gods are still trapped, even with the birth of Gaius, does that mean..."
"No. It doesn't mean anything. Caio would have had to go through a ritual, which I would remember if it had happened. But I love Theo, yes. Just as I love you."
