Book 3. Cursed Tree. Chapter 1. The Challenge

Brendon was fourteen years old when he first entered the forest, considered cursed and forbidden by all the locals, who told horrifying stories about what had happened to people who despised its magic and dared to enter its territory, even saying that whoever managed to get out would carry a part of it with them forever. And that part could be something completely evil. He was challenged by his friends at boarding school to prove that there was nothing evil or supernatural, as the tribespeople who lived in that region said and didn't dare visit that forest.

Brendon didn't believe that local legend. He stopped in front of the fence and took the pliers out of his pocket and cut the wire that was trying to prevent the students from entering the forest. This was the work of a former principal of the boarding school, who, according to the comments, had ventured into the forest.

Some said he was looking for his former fiancée, but he never told anyone that.
