While he was distracted by his thoughts and with his eyes fixed on Mr. Miles, Venice approached him and asked him to dance. Brendon stared at Samira, but she shrugged and continued drinking.

He noticed that she was already on her second bottle of champagne and he liked that.

He accepted the invitation to Venice, to make up for the rudeness of having asked her to go in another car, even though she was the one most to blame. She could have gone straight to the party.
