Giovanna didn't accept invitations from friends or suitors. She feared that choosing someone could be a trigger for her to be pursued again.

For many days now, she had been feeling him extremely close, but he wouldn't let himself be seen by her. Giovanna opened her guard.

She started giving talks around the world. That day she was staying in the best hotel in Paris, being fawned over by business
