Kai offered to drive my mother off to the pack since she didn't have any means to get there except the phone she had been given when we reunited. As expected, she refused and insisted that she was going to call my father and have him come pick her up. She was to spend the night, and early in the morning, as soon as my father arrived, she would be out of our noses. To me, that was a good thing, since I'd get to tell him face-to-face about her shenanigans. At least that way he would be in a better position to convince him.
