Delaney went straight to her parents' bedroom when we arrived, despite her mother trying to stop her. I had to remind Seraphina that we all wanted to find Thorne and that she should let Del get inside without forcing me to take action against her. There was a lot of movement in the pack, the members scattered all over searching for their alpha. I could hear their shouts from inside the woods, the urgency in their voices as they called Thorne's name.

"Any word from Jeriah?" Elias asked in a whisper as we followed Delaney up into the house. Nyra had already accompanied her there, but the goal was to keep her in my sight, since I didn't trust Seraphina a bit.
