I didn't go to Nyra's room, not with Carter inside there, and neither did I go back to my room. The last thing I wanted was to stay locked up in there and find myself lost in thoughts. I didn't want to run into my mates either, because I needed time to think about the marking thing. A lot was going on, and at that time I didn't want to let anything stress me. So I wandered to the basement, a space I hadn't explored since I moved to the mansion. No one had mentioned it, not even Elias or Maribel. To my luck, the door was not locked, just closed.
